About Me

I‘m an elderly lady with three grown children, two teenage granddaughters, two great grandkids, and two cats. I work on my three blogs and my poetry website, and write poems. I also do lots of container gardening on my deck and porch. I have rheumatoid arthritis and somewhat housebound. Most  importantly, I am a Jehovah’s Witness and spend many hours writing letters as a way to give encouragement to all.  Thank you for taking the time to stop by and find out a little bit about me. It would be nice if you could leave a comment to tell me about you and your blog.   Best regards, Eileen.

The Memorial of 2024

When I was in second grade my aunt gave me a little book of poems called, “A Child’s Garden of Verses” written by Robert Louis Stevenson. It was one of my gifts that didn’t interest me much so I put it on the shelf in my room and never gave it another thought for many months. I can’t tell you how much time had passed before I discovered the little blue book on my shelf and decided to open it up and take a look. I loved the poems and read them often. I was always rhyming things in my head as a child but never wrote them down. I have a slight learning disability, did poorly in school, and quit the day I turned sixteen. When I turned to the age of 43 I went to night school and got my GED. For many years I kept busy as most do with taking care of home and family, friends and pets and working outside the home. I did keep up with my painting and they made nice gifts to give to my friends.

Now I’m old and crippled with rheumatoid arthritis so I created a couple of websites and write poems. My poems are not sophisticated or brilliant, just simple writings filled with memories of my childhood, my imagination, my experiences in life, and my plight with arthritis. I love my poems and don’t mind saying so.

I am published on the websites below

    1. Hello, I’m not quite sure about this.
I have a hard time processing things as I have
a learning disability, hence the bad spelling.
I’ll need to go over the directions a couple of
times to see if I can follow through with it.
Thank you for your interest in my poems.

  1. Eileen would you let me write an article about you? You are such a gifted and positive person. It would not be difficult – I would email you a few questions about you, your art and poetry. I would love to share a few of your paintings and poems at the same time so others can appreciate you!
just make a comment on my moondustwriter blog if you are willing

  2. I have been poking around your blog site. Wow! You’ve been busy and should be very proud of yourself. I have a blog, too, but it was only made possible by my tech savvy son. That you have done ALL of this on your own – very impressive! (wild cheering and applause) Your paintings are particularly wonderful. If you poke around my blog you will see some of my work but nothing comparable to yours. Keep painting. And keep going. You are radiant.
