Fat Rabbits In My Fields

I saw two fat rabbits running fast on the other side of my fence
Because of the large size that they were, it didn't make any sense
We're in the middle of December so what is it that they eat                                                            I feed the birds and squirrels and know nothing of rabbits treats

I see many rabbits eating grass around my house in the summer        Finding something to eat throughout the winter must be a bummer
So I did some reading and also lots of researching on the internet
Not having food in the winter for wild rabbits is not a real threat

My home is surrounded by woods and very large fields
Much to my surprise what rabbits eat my land yields
There are plenty of bushes with buds twigs and tree bark
So I'm pleased to be calling it, The Clark Rabbit Park

A Good Boy

I woke before the morning, I was happy all the day,
I never said an ugly word, but smiled and stuck to play.

And now at last the sun is going down behind the wood,
And I am very happy, for I know that I've been good.

My bed is waiting cool and fresh, with linen smooth and fair,
And I must be off to sleepsin-by, and not forget my prayer.

I know that, till to-morrow I shall see the sun arise,
No ugly dream shall fright my mind, no ugly sight my eyes.

But slumber hold me tightly till I waken in the dawn,
And hear the thrushes singing in the lilacs round the lawn.

Happy Moon

I was kinda sad and low when I went to bed
Unhappy feelings swirling round in my head
Mama said I would feel much better tomorrow
A new day often seems to wash away any sorrow

I sure  don't know how that can possibly be
My best friend is really really mad with me
We had a terrible fight over such a silly thing
She even threw at me our friendship ring

I turned out the light and climbed into my bed
I need to tell her I'm sorry, words not easily said
As soon as I made that decision my heart felt free
And even the moon outside was smiling down at me

The Fly

https://debug.ae/flies-pest-guide/

Little fly,
Thy summer’s play
My thoughtless hand
Has brushed away.

Am not I
A fly like thee?
Or art not thou
A man like me?

For I dance
And drink and sing,
Till some blind hand
Shall brush my wing.

If thought is life
And strength and breath,
And the want
Of thought is death,

Then am I
A happy fly,
If I live,
Or if I die.

After reading about William Blake, it seems he might have been a little troubled, but who am I to say.

My Poems

Open The Window

Open windows, clear out winters graying dust,

Let in Spring, green fresh air is a must.

Breezes blowing the curtains to a happy sound,

White picket fences stroll along the ground.

Shaded houses under big old oak trees,

Life is good, thank Jehovah on bended knees.

The Day is Coming

The Day is Coming
It is a day, a long awaited day  for you and for me,
Jehovah’s glorious day, upon us soon,  for all to see.
It seems so often in the day, every day, it crosses my
mind,
It keeps me going, keeps me knowing, it soon will be
fine.
*
Through out the day, every day, I hear in my head,
Scriptures to calm me, to reassure me, that I am being led.
To a pure and gentle place, with warmth of sun and soft
misty showers,
Never again  fearing the storms lashing out on us with
violent powers.
*
The day is coming when I will be clean and pure, happy and
whole,
When my body will stand tall and straight, and I won’t be old.
When I will run along side of my family and friends, and kneel
down to Jehovah to say…..
*
I have waited, and you have kept your promise, reasuring us of
this glorious day,
Thank you Oh Father, may we never again let you down we
pray.

We as Jehovah’s Witnesses believe from scriptures in the Bible that we will be living in a paradise here on this earth forever.

Psalms 37:11 But the meek will possess the earth, and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

Knowing this helps me to deal with the arthritis pain and not being able to go for walks in the woods which I use to do often. One day while thinking about Gods promise, this poem came to be.
