Hi, I sometimes think it’s sad. I wonder if through the years did the poem get passed on through many hands and might have even been re-written. Was the writer of the poem not happy with what was written so chose not to own up to the words? I searched it as far as I could and came up with nothing new, also Wikipedia has nothing on it.
What a beautiful line of thoughts. I love the rhythm. Indeed, daddies must learn to walk a little slower for their kids to follow closely. 🙏
